We have a mix of new developement along with the strategic maintenace of or long running custom applications. Our applications support many different lanes organization wide including but not limited to Accounting, Revenue Cycle, and Support Services.

As a remote employee I work to provide stability to our 8.2 Sitecore solution. Our solution contains many tenants including some SXA sites. I worked to resolve issues with redirect modules and monitored for service issues and outages. Participated in bi-weekly code deploys. My present responsibilities include working to plan a move to the Azure Cloud to utilize a Sitecore PAAS solution while upgrading our instance of Sitecore to the latest version. In this transition my team and I are taking the opportunity to design and implement new coding standards all while improving our internal API's to reduce our coupling on external vendors. My role in the new project is to lead development and design for the improved solution and to work closely with a vendor to learn more about the Azure platform and CI/CD pipeline. Daily work is completed via Bi-Weekly Scrums with daily stand up meetings held via Skype since the entire team is remote. I actively participate in sprint planning meetings as well as retrospectives and refinement meetings for our Platform Team.

As an Interface Web Engineer no two days are ever the same. I currently work to support all internal and external web resources, including but not limited to our external sites and the numerous custom internal web applications at EAMC. I am a senior level developer using C# MVC and ASP.NET webforms, WebAPI, WCF, angularJS, HTML5, CSS, javascript, JQuery and WordPress CMS to name a few. I also work with the interface team to build system integrations with the CorePoint interface engine, C# web services and Cerner's OpenEngine. In both roles I use my previous experience to help design and develop innovative solutions to the hospital's ever-growing IT needs.

Senior Application Analyst/Web Developer

As a seasoned web developer I really enjoy what I do, I currently work on a web development/interfaces team to build/update/maintain all of East Alabama Medical Center's external websites including the main hospital site (http://www.eamc.org) and all of the extended network of EAMC affiliated offices. I also build and support many of EAMC's internal web assets, including SharePoint. Recently I was integrated into the interface team where I assist in building/ improving/maintaining HL7 interfaces using CorePoint's integration engine. With these responsibilities I mainly work in C#. I am proficient in both Web forms and MVC. I am also very proficient with Web-API and WCF using these technologies mainly for developing enterprise web services. I often employ bootstrap 3, CSS3, HTML 5, JQuery, LESS and other front end languages/libraries in my work.

In addition to my development work I am a software administrator and work-flow constructor for the ImageRight Imaging System used by our Claims department. I am currently working on an Oracle Service Bus implementation, and have recently been nominated to be a member of the SOA Governance and Business Process Management subcommittee on the I.T. Leadership Council at Alfa. Solely supported Russell Retail Store's Point of Sale terminals and systems. Thoroughly documented all new projects while following SDLC best practices. Entrusted to be project lead on medium scale projects, this required working with end-users to gather requirements for planning and designing systems. Successfully led Inventory of Russell Retail Store using Retail Pro POS software and directed 6 staff members to help carry out the inventory, while achieving a 95% success rate.Was sought out by other groups in the company for help with setting up UPS WorldShip software and its connection to systems via ODBC drivers. Trusted to troubleshoot network printers for users as well as code documents for printing using special printer specific languages such as PCL. Contributed to the team environment by participating in a 24/7 rotating on-call schedule.
